1. Alien Inline Skating (Kindergarten to Grade 4 Students)
We are excited to welcome Alien Inline Skating back for an in-house residency for Kindergarten to Grade 4 students from April 6 to April 23, 2026. See your child’s Google Classroom for their specific participation schedules. Please speak to your child’s teacher if interested in volunteering for their skating times.
2. Learning Celebration – Led by Kindergarten Students
Kindergarten students at Marion Carson School will be hosting a Learning Celebration on Friday, April 10, 2026 starting at 10:15am. The celebration will share some of the students’ current learning focusing on the Body domain - To Do in connection to our bodies and our connection to nature. We would like to invite parents of performing students from our Kindergarten classes to attend if able. Please note that due to fire safety code we have to limit our parent viewing to the first 150 parents. Doors will open at 10:10am. If waiting outside, we ask that you please line up along the Main West Door sidewalk leading out towards Varsity Drive.
3. Yearbook Orders – Deadline Extended to May 24, 2026
A flyer went home recently with information on how to order a yearbook for children and families interested in having this keepsake. Lifetouch has extended our order deadline to May 24th as they will print the yearbooks right here in Calgary. Order your yearbook at https://ybpay.lifetouch.ca/Order/SelectJob. Use yearbook code #15269226. The cost of the yearbook is $20.

Parent Association’s Parent Education Session – Power of Play by Devon K.
April 18th 10:00-11:30AM at the school's boulder circle (back west field): Join Devon Karchut, pediatric physiotherapist, play advocate, and owner of Nature Play, an outdoor play and therapy program for kids. We'll discuss how play is the secret ingredient for building skills in communication, self-regulation, creativity, and so much more! This session is geared to parents but feel free to bring your little ones along to play in the field while the parents learn!
