Grade 1/2 Community English Learning Celebration
A great big thank you to all Grade 1/2 Community English program staff and students for their wonderful celebration of learning this past week. Students were fantastic leaders and performers in sharing about their learning around kindness, taking us on a journey through the Artic in search of polar nears, and supporting whole school belonging through a challenge to show and declare acts of kindness connected to Pink Shirt Day.
Grade 1/2 Mandarin Bilingual Program Learning Celebration – Feb 26, 2025
The Grade 1/2 students in the Mandarin Bilingual program will be hosting all students in their Learning Celebration on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:10am – 10:45am. The celebration will share their learning about “Love” both around loving oneself as a person, and also the importance of spreading love.
We would like to invite parents of performing students from our Grade 1/2 Mandarin Bilingual classes to attend if able. Please note that due to fire safety code we must limit our parent viewing to the first 150 parents. Doors will open at 10:05am. If waiting outside, we ask that you please line up along the Main West Door sidewalk leading out towards Varsity Drive.
Gymnastics Begins – A Message from Ms. Collins
Throughout the month of March, students will be participating in a variety of fundamental movement activities, taught in progression during their Physical Education classes. Please read this message from our Physical Education and Wellness Learning Leader Ms. Collins which includes details of this programming, as well as appropriate attire to support student safety and movement.
March 6 Parent Association Movie Night – Cancelled
We have unfortunately had to make the decision to cancel the movie night originally planned for March 6, 2025. With labour disruptions continuing with CUPE Local 40 we are unable to host evening events such as this. We hope to be able to reschedule this event for a later date.
