Hello / Nǐ hǎo Marion Carson School Families,

  • Report Cards Go Live for Viewing
  • Back to School Information
  • Last Call for School Fee Payment
  • Lost & Found
  • Yearbooks Have Arrived

Thank you very much to our student leadership group who organized and led a fantastic sports day. What a wonderful way for us to come together as a school community through sport. I would like to share a few more thank you messages as the 2025-26 school year enters the final week.

I would like to start by thanking the School Council and Parent Association for all their support in organizing and leading various school events. We have an extremely committed and supportive group continuously supporting the school staff and students through various initiatives and events. With some executive members stepping down and passing the torch on to new parents, I would like to say a special thank you to our School Council Chair Kim Harding for her organization and leadership of all things council. With the council, Kim has spent countless hours organizing events alongside the executive team and parent volunteers to make Marion Carson School an even better place for our students. To cap off Kim’s leadership, she spent the last few years, alongside our Inclusive Creative Playground Project parent lead Tracy Oh and council members leading the fundraising initiative of a nearly $400,000 campaign which has successfully met its goal with the new playground being built this summer. What an achievement, and what a gift to Marion Carson School and the Varsity community. Thank you to the School Council and Parent Association team and all volunteers for all that you have done to support the school and your part in making goals like this possible for our students.

I would also like to thank the teachers and support staff within the school for their dedication to Marion Carson School students and families and a big thank you to you as parents for working as our partners on behalf of your child’s learning. It takes a team to reach the dream.

Finally, I would like to thank all students for their willingness to take risks in their learning, and for coming together through our “We Connect” school motto to help make Marion Carson School an amazing place to learn. You are all unique and wonderful in your own ways, and each of you has shown tremendous growth this year as learners and people.

To those moving on from our school, we wish you all the best in your next adventure. To those returning, we look forward to our next journey in learning as we move into the 2026-27 school year.

4.     Last Call for School Fee Payment

Thank you to all families who have paid their school fees for the year. Please go into your child’s MyCBE Account before the end of the week to ensure that all fees are paid. Thank you for your prompt attention to matter, and for double-checking each of your child(ren)’s accounts.

5.     Lost & Found

A reminder that all items in the lost & found will be donated June 26 at 2pm. Parents are welcome to ring the buzzer at the front west doors when dropping off or picking up their child(ren) if interested in coming and looking through the lost and found items. Students will also continue to have the opportunity throughout the week when walking by with their class.

6.     Yearbooks Have Arrived

All yearbooks purchased by families have arrived and have been sent home with your child(ren) yesterday and today. We would like to thank the teachers on the yearbook committee for volunteering their time in creating these memory books.

Please note that we have 25 extra yearbooks in the office to sell at the school level for those who missed the deadline. If you missed the original opportunity and are interested, you can email the office at marioncarson@cbe.ab.ca. We will be distributing them out on a first come first serve basis, and a $20 charge will be added to your child’s MyCBE Account.
