A few items of note…
Library Learning Commons Final Book Return
This week was the final book exchange for all students at Marion Carson School for the 2024-25 school year. Please return all school library books throughout the week of June 9 to 13. Our librarian, Ms. Parshina will be sending out a list later in the month to families with any outstanding/overdue books. Any books not returned by the deadline in this mid-month report will be charged to your MyCBE account. If you received a message that you have an outstanding book and believe this is in error, please email the school before the end of the day Friday, June 20, 2025.
Talent Show
Ms. Seto has organized a talent show this Monday, June 9th. Students will have approximately 3 minutes each to share their music.
Ms. Seto has been working with students to prepare for this talent show. To confirm whether your child is playing for the talent show, go into the “Ms. Seto Google Classroom”. If there is a message under “Talent Show”, then your child has been preparing to perform. If there is no message about the talent show, then your child is not playing. Please note that we do not have space for any further additions to the list of performers.
Please ensure that you child practices the music and brings to school all necessary instruments, books or anything else needed for this Monday’s performance. The school will have a piano, guitar, drum kit, xylophones (and other percussion instruments) available. Students will need to bring any more personalized or specialized specific instruments to school themselves.
Parents of performing children who would like to drop by to help your child setup, to take a picture, or watch their performance are welcome to attend. We ask that parents enter from the back of the gym (west doors) and use the provided benches.
Each class is designated to a specific group. See below for the schedule.
9:30am - 10:20am: Ms. Wu, Ms. Spray, Ms. Zhang, Ms. Baldwin
10:20am - 11:10am: Ms. Blair, Ms. Lee, Ms. Eastly
11:45am - 12:30pm: Ms. Saretsky, Ms. Hay, Mr. Ledene
1:20pm - 2:20pm: Ms. Schnell/Ms. Weir, Ms. Wang, Mr. Wang, Ms. Cole
2:20pm - 3:20pm: Ms. Hoglund, Ms. Holm, Ms. Buller, Ms. Wilcock, Mr. Wiedener
School Fees – Outstanding Fee Reminder Sent
Thank you to the parents that have gone in to their MyCBE account and paid their fees over this past week. We are now down to $15,800 in fees due (down about $5000 since last week). If you haven’t already, please go in and pay your fees through your MyCBE account (be sure to look under each child’s tab if you have more than one child).
