A reminder that there is no school on Friday, March 21, 2025 due to online Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences. Additionally, there is no school from March 24 to 28 due to Spring Break. School resumes March 31, 2025.

2025-26 School Year Intent Form – Please complete by March 21, 2025
Thank you to those families who have already completed this 2025-26 School Year Intent form. This is a key support as we plan for our whole school organization for next year. We ask that all families complete the Intent Form linked below (1 per child).
Please have this form completed no later than March 21, 2025.

Alien Inline Residency – K-4 Students
Forms were sent home today for all K-4 students in attendance for our Alien Inline Skating Residency occurring from March 31 to April 17. Please complete the Acknowledgement of Risk forms and return them to your teacher no later than Thursday, March 20, 2025. If you can volunteer and have your police clearance, please connect with your child’s teacher.
Lost and Found
Student lost and found items have been placed on tables in the main hallway. Students have been looking through these tables for any of their items on the way to physical education throughout the week and will continue to next week. Please review the pictures sent by School Messenger to see if any of your child’s items have been found. All items that remain by the end of the day March 20th will be donated.
March 20/21 Parent Student Teacher Conferences
As per last week’s message, the March 20/21 Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences will be held online through Microsoft TEAMS.
Conferences will run online
- Thursday evening online from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
- Friday online from 8:00am -1:30pm (2:30pm for Mandarin Bilingual Kindergarten).
Your link to the Teams meeting for your interview will be in the email response you receive when you book your conference time. For you reference, please review: How To Join a School Conference
To book an online School Conference with your child’s homeroom teacher, please login to your MyCBE/PowerSchool parent account and click the link for School Conferences. The booking system will open to parents at 10am on Saturday, March 15th and closes Thursday March 20 at 3:00pm.
Mandarin Bilingual Program families with two teachers are reminded to book with their homeroom teacher who will speak on behalf of student learning across both classroom settings.

Marion Carson School 5km Fun Run – April 26, 2025 (Accessible Playground Fundraiser)!
Did you know Mr. Turner has a great passion for running, and is running in the Boston Marathon this year? Keep on the lookout for a running club starting soon (weather permitting)
Well, start your training! We’ve decided to organize a Marion Carson School 5km Fun Run of our own throughout the community of Varsity as a way to get our school and wider community together through a healthy challenge, while at the same supporting our efforts towards building an accessible creative playground for our school.
REGISTER NOW! April 26th will be a fun filled morning rain or shine with the run/walk and then we will have activities, food trucks, prizes, games and entertainment! This is going to be our biggest playground fundraiser yet and we need the support of the whole school community to make it a success. Anybody is welcome to register so invite your family, friends and community members too. Race begins at 10:30am on April 26th, 2025.
Registration closes April 5th.
You can sign your family up to run, walk, volunteer, or just donate to our cause if you can't come that day: Marion Carson Family Fun Run 5K. We hope to make this a great family event accessible to all.

Our next School Council and Parent Association Meeting is this Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30pm. Due to the CUPE 40 Strike, this meeting will be held online.
