A reminder that there is no school this Friday, March 20, 2026, as it is a non-instructional day, as well as March 23 – 27 due to Spring Break. School will resume on Monday, March 30, 2026. We would like to wish everyone a wonderful break spending time with family in what looks like a beautiful week of Spring weather.

1. School Student-Led Conferences – March 19, 2026
We look forward to hosting families for our Student-Led Conferences this evening. Families can go directly to their child’s classroom upon arrival. Be sure to stop by the Parent Association table at the front west doors to learn about our final push for fundraising towards a new accessible creative playground, as well as registration information for the Marion Carson School 5km Fun Run/Walk.
2. Lost and Found
While at student-led conferences be sure look through the lost and found tables located in the hallway near the office. Items have been out all week, and students have stopped by with their classes in hopes of recovering items, but there are still quite a few unclaimed pieces. Any items remaining by the end of student-led conferences this Thursday will be donated.
3. Yearbook Orders – Deadline March 31, 2026
A flyer went home recently with information on how to order a yearbook for children and families interested in having this keepsake. I would like to thank our teachers for donating their time in creating these books. There is a hard deadline of March 31, 2026 to order a yearbook at https://ybpay.lifetouch.ca/Order/SelectJob. Use yearbook code #15269226. The cost of the yearbook is $20.
4. Alien Inline Skating (Kindergarten to Grade 4 Students)
We are excited to welcome back Alien Inline Skating for an in-house residency for Kindergarten to Grade 4 students from April 6 to April 23, 2026. Teachers will post their classroom’s participation schedules to their Google Classroom when finalized. The fee for this activity is $22 and will be posted to your MyCBE Account shortly.

Don't forget to sign up for the Fun Run before March 31 to be entered in for our early bird prize! This year the prize is… a spa package courtesy of Variety Alberta - the Children's Charity.
