*A reminder that there is no school Friday, May 17, 2024 as it is a non-instructional day and on May 20th (Victoria Day). School will resume on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Thank you on behalf of Parent Association and Marion Carson Staff to everyone who participated in the Marion's Meadow cleanups! It's looking great out there. We are so lucky to have our master gardener Deb leading this! Have a walk through the area the next time you're at the school! Teachers have had conversations with their students about how to keep this space great for many more years to come. Please ask your children about how we take care of this space so that it can thrive and be enjoyed by everyone.
Moving or Moved Out of Area / Changing Schools?
Thank you very much to all families who completed the 2024-2025 Intent to Return form earlier in the year. If plans for your family have changed, and you will no longer be returning to Marion Carson School for the 2024-25 school year, please be sure to inform the school by emailing MarionCarson@cbe.ab.ca.
Additionally, if you have moved homes, please be sure to update your address at the school. Please note, that if you no longer live in the community of Varsity (applicable for Community English Program students), or are a Mandarin Bilingual Program students who no longer lives in the designated catchment for the Mandarin Bilingual Program, your child would then be designated to another school starting in 2024-25. To avoid a mid-year transfer, and help us to properly configure our school classrooms, please inform the school of any family moves so that we can support your child starting at their designated school for the new school year. As a school with current enrolment at limited capacity, all students not living within our designated catchment areas according to your program and address, must transfer to their designated school for 2024-25. School Council and Parent Association Meeting – May 22, 2024
Please join us at our next School Council meeting on May 22, 2024 at 7pm in person in the Library Learning Commons. Fun Lunch on June 10 (Subway) – New Provider Trial
We are adding a June 10 Fun Lunch, where we are trying a NEW Fun Lunch provider called Lunchbox. Their program will help Parent Association eliminate the need for most volunteers, and save us hours of work!
You'll need to set up an account with them to get started. Here is how you setup this account to order the June 10 fun lunch. *Please note, that no other school fees are collected through this program, just the Fun Lunch fee for June 10. The ordering deadline for the first scheduled lunch delivery is: Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM
How to Order
- Log into your Lunchbox account.
- If you need to create an account, please go to www.lunchboxorders.net
- Select ‘Create an Account’.
- Add your contact information along with a password.
- An email notification will be sent to you to confirm your email and login information.
- Log back into Lunchbox to add your child to the program. (Your email is your username).
- Confirm your child’s account information including their teacher and grade for the current school year.
- Click ‘Add’ to save the information.
- *Please ensure the correct teacher and grade are selected to prevent errors on delivery days.
- Press the ‘Order Now’ button beside your student’s name.
- Place your child’s lunch order(s) on your school’s ordering calendar by clicking the blue date for the scheduled vendors.
