School Fees
What a fantastic school event on Saturday, led by our Marion Carson Parent Association. The Fun Run/Walk was a huge success both in bringing together Marion Carson and the surrounding community as well as to fundraise for our new accessible creative playground. Thank you very much to all people who volunteered, joined in on the festivities, or who supported the event in whichever way you could. The joy on families faces, and specifically students faces throughout the morning was an absolute pleasure to see, and I hope brought great memories and family connections that will last a lifetime. I’ve heard rumours of hoping to make this an annual event. Please email mcschoolcouncil@gmail.com if you have ideas or ways that you can support future events such as this and help it grow for future years.

Music Monday – May 5, 2025
Ms. Seto has shared a sign-up with students to be at various stations throughout the school where they will share their joy of music with others. We are looking forward to a wonderful day celebrating music.
Student leaders are also encouraging all students to dress as their favourite musician on this day. Please ensure that outfits are school appropriate.
Hats on for Mental Health – May 7, 2025
On Wednesday, May 7, students are encouraged to wear a hat to school to help raise awareness of the importance of mental health in schools!
Class Requests for 2025-26 School Year
Final reminder that we are accepting information and request should you have a specific peer request or additional information to support class placement specific to your child’s education for the 2025-26 school year. We invite you to email our school at MarionCarson@cbe.ab.ca. Requests will only be considered if of an educational nature and which include a detailed reasoning to support the request. Although all requests are considered, they are not guaranteed as we must balance the various organizational needs of the school. Requests and additional information for consideration must be submitted before Friday, May 9, 2025.
Moving Addresses or Have Moved?
Do you know that you are moving over Summer Break, or have had a move since completing the start of the year demographic forms? If you have or will have a change of address, please be sure to let the school know by emailing marioncarson@cbe.ab.ca. Students living outside of our catchment area must move to their designated school to start the new school year. By contacting the school office, we can help you with this process. This is the time of year to let our school and the new school know as all school are starting to work on next and this information greatly supports school organization for the 2025-26 school year.
School Fees
We would ask families to please check each child’s tab under their MyCBE PowerSchool account to see if you have any unpaid fees. We appreciate you paying any outstanding fees as soon as possible as we move closer to the end of the school year. Fees continue to be uploaded as events occur, therefore we ask families to continue to monitor their accounts for fees due as field trip occur.

May 5-8: Grade 6 Camp Chief Hector Overnight Camp
May 7: Hats on for Mental Health
May 16: Non-Instructional Day – No School for Students
May 19: No School – Victoria Day
May 22: Spirit Day - Cultural Celebration Day (wear clothing that represents your family’s culture, bring your favourite food from your culture for your lunch, or share a tradition with your class (please talk to your teacher about our specific guidelines if planning on sending any food for sharing as any food items not within the guidelines, will be returned home)
May 22: Spring Fling Dance from 5:30pm – 7:30pm (Buy your Tickets Here)
May 23: Parent Association Bottle Drive (8:30am – 9:30am) – Drop off bottles at Parking Lot of at Spring Fling the Night Before
