Some items of note…
1. School Fees – Please Review Your MyCBE Account for Fees Due
With just over a month to go in the school year, we ask parents to log into the School Fee section of their MyCBE Account and pay any unpaid fees at this time. Please check this section regularly through to the end of the year to ensure that your payments are up to date. We thank you for your prompt payment, as we begin our planning for activities for the next school year.
2. Transportation Registration for 2026-27 School Year – Now Open
Families can now apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. To ensure service is in place for the first day of classes, registration must be received by Sunday, June 14. Registrations submitted after this date will be accepted; however, access to bus routes may be delayed. Of note:
· Confirmed bus routes will be posted for families who registered by the deadline in MyCBE in late August.
· The transportation fees for 2026-27 have now been posted to the CBE main website here.
· Register through your MyCBE Account
Families who register now, can cancel without financial impact by submitting a cancellation form by Sept. 30.
3. Swimming Lessons Continue (Grade 1-4)
Swimming continues next week. Please be sure to send your child to school with all necessary items to make swimming a success (waterproof bag for wet items, bathing suit, towel, etc.). Please see you child’s Google Classroom for details specific to your class. The swimming schedule is posted here.
4. School Council and Parent Association Roles
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the final School Council and Parent Association meeting of the year / Annual General Meeting (AGM) this past week. I would like to take this time to thank all parents on the School Council and Parent Association Executive as well as the Committee Leads for all of the their time and dedication to Marion Carson School. These volunteers have worked tirelessly to support and lead many events throughout this year and past years, while also planning for and leading the fundraising for a new playground at our school. We appreciate all that you have done.
This time of year in connection to the Council’s Annual General Meeting, we have many roles to fill to keep the valuable work of the council moving forward. Thank you to all parents who already put their names forward to fil certain roles for 2026-27.
Please see below for information on the various roles filled, as well as roles that are currently vacant for the 2026-27 school year. I would encourage families to look through the list of vacancies and contact the School Council and Parent Association at mcschoolcouncil@gmail.com if you have any questions about these roles and/or if you are able to put your name forward to fill a vacancy.
