A Message from School Council and Parent Association
It was absolutely wonderful to see the school spirit this week in full force. We had fantastic participation with students and teachers representing their family’s culture whether through clothing, food, class presentations and more. Thank you to all families for spending the time to share this important part of our lives and school community.
We also had a successful bottle drive led by Parent Association volunteers. Thank you very much to those who organized and volunteered at the bottle drive and to those who donated their recyclables.
We also ended the week with a wonderful learning celebration led by our kindergarten students. They have grown up so much in their first year of school, and this was a great way to see their learning around the Body – To Do in action and for them to have an early opportunity for leadership. Well done Kindergarten students!

School Fees – Outstanding Fee Reminder Letters Coming Home
At this time of year there are a lot of field trips that occur, which can often leave unpaid balances in parents’ MyCBE accounts. Unpaid school fees directly impact the running of the school and the supports and resources that we can put in place for all children, therefore we ask that you continue to review your MyCBE account for your child(ren) to ensure that you have paid your fees. Reminder letters for families with outstanding fees will be going home next week to families based on a report being calculated this upcoming Monday, May 26. If you haven’t already, please go in and pay your fees through your MyCBE account.

School Council and Parent Association Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The School Council and Parent Association Annual General Meeting is this Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 6:30pm in the library learning commons. This is a great opportunity to learn about the work of the council and association this year, and an outlook into next year. It is also an opportunity to join council as the AGM is when the election for next year’s council occurs. Please email mcschoolcouncil@gmail.com if interested in any council roles for next year, for more information, or if you have questions about council. Meeting minutes and agendas are posted to the school website here once available.
