A great big thank you to all families who were able to come and volunteer for the Marion Carson 5km Fun Run / Walk last weekend. We truly appreciate all of the support. What a wonderful event within our school community. It was an absolute pleasure to see the faces of all of the runners and walkers as they crossed the finish line. What great effort and dedication. Each participant should be very proud of their accomplishment. Thank you to School Council for organizing this event.
A reminder that there is no school this Friday May 15 (non-instructional day) and Monday, May 18 (Victoria Day). School resumes on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
1. School Fees
School Fees continue to be posted to your MyCBE Account as field trips occur. With many field trips occurring across the whole school, we ask that you check your account weekly and pay posted fees. This supports our current and upcoming school operations as we work to give our students the best possible learning experience. We thank you for your prompt attention to these fees.
2. Elementary Track & Field City Championships (Grade 3-6 students)
Has your child signed up to participate? The Elementary School Track & Field City Championships are coming up on Saturday, May 30 and is open to all students in Grades 3–6. This event is designed to build physical literacy through fun and inclusive experiences in running, jumping, and throwing, helping to address a gap in opportunities for younger students. Sign up for as little as 1 event or for all. Be sure to state that you are from Marion Carson School in the online registration form.
Details:
Location: Foothills Track (2431 Crowchild Trail N.W.)
When: May 30, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $10 per event
Entry Deadline: May 27, 2025 @ 10:00 p.m.

Fun Run Early Bird Prize
Congratulations to our Early Bird prize winner, Rachel M! Winner was selected from the names registered before March 31. The prize was a spa package and gift basket donated by Variety Alberta- worth over $700!
Playground Raffle
Our 50/50 winner was Steven B. who took home a nice $910! Thank you to all for supporting this fundraiser.
