A reminder that there is no school for students on Friday, May 16, 2025 as it is a non-instructional day and on Monday, May 19, 2025 due to Victoria Day. Classes resume Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
A few items of note…
Bus Registration for 2025-26
The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) has sent messaging recently around updates to bus zones / walk zones, and about registration for 2025-26 bussing. Please monitor this messaging closely to ensure that you register before the deadline if you qualify and are interested in 2025-26 busing. Addresses registered before the deadline are what CBE Transportation uses to create the congregated stops. It also ensures that your child can ride the bus on the first day of school. Late registrations can take up to 6 weeks into the school year to become activated and ready to ride the bus, so please register early if you are thinking about using this service.
Moving Addresses or Have Moved?
If you have or will have a change of address, please be sure to let the school know by emailing marioncarson@cbe.ab.ca. Students living outside of our catchment area must move to their designated school to start the new school year. By contacting the school office, we can help you with this process. This is the time of year to let our school and the new school know as all schools are starting to work on next year and this information greatly supports school organization for the 2025-26 school year.

School Council and Parent Association (MCPA) Updates
Spring Fling Dance - May 22 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
- The dance will be 90's themed!
- Buy your tickets to the dance here: 2025 Spring Fling
- Volunteer at the dance. Sign up here to help: MCS School Council: May 22 Spring Fling
- Students can enter the poster contest and try to win a popsicle party for their class. Make a creative and artistic poster for the dance and hand it in to your teacher before May 20, 2025.
- Bottle drive bottles are being accepted at the dance. Drop them off at the dance while showing your tickets at the entrance.
Bottle Drive – May 23, 2025
Start collecting your bottles! We are doing our Spring bottle drive on Friday, May 23 from 8:30am – 9:30am during drop off time. Please bring your recyclables that morning. If coming to the Spring Fling Dance, you can also drop them off that evening at the front door when showing your tickets.
