It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through October! Our school has been buzzing with learning, connection, and community spirit. From our Terry Fox Run and successful Toonies for Terry campaign to our first-ever Costume and Winter Gear Swap, it has been wonderful to see our community come together to support one another. A recent highlight was our Grade 3 Celebration of Learning that took place today, where families had the opportunity to explore an art gallery walk showcasing our students’ creativity, learning, and hard work. Reminder that Monday, October 19 is a non-instructional day, therefore there is no school for students. Teachers will be engaged in professional learning around our professional learning communities and our school development plan.

Each year, we review and update our Marion Carson School Digital Citizenship Plan to reflect our school’s goals and priorities for technology use. - Bridge Club
We are pleased to welcome back The Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth (CBFY) for the 206-27 school year. CBYY offers various programming and will start up Bridge Club for grade 1-6 students on October 27, 2026. Bridge Club runs every Tuesday from 3:35-5:35pm. Please see the attached flyer and PowerPoint presentation for more information and how you can sign up your student.

MCPA Fundraisers:
Fundraising is one of the ways the MCPA helps reduce costs for families while enhancing learning opportunities for all students throughout the school year. So far this year, fundraising has helped fund the playground, improvements to the school yard, IXL learning resources, supplies for Carson's College and one bus for every class to attend a field trip during the year. Apple Fundraiser - Call for Volunteers: We are looking for 3 more volunteers to help hand out boxes of apples to families who purchased them.
