We hope all families were able to spend some quality time together over the extended Family Day long weekend. As a staff, we were able to personalize our own professional growth while at Teacher’s Convention where new learning, growth, and networking increases our ability to support all students in their learning journey.
On another note, we would like to thank the Parent Association for organizing the staff appreciation snacks and lunch last week and thank all parents who made this special gesture possible for staff. We really appreciate your kindness and generosity.

School Planning and Engagement Survey
Thank you to all parents / guardians who were able to attend the School Council / Parent Association meeting this past Wednesday. At this meeting, we shared a Planning and Engagement presentation about budget and fees where we are looking for parent feedback as we move into our planning for the 2024-25 school year. We are asking parents to please review the Planning and Engagement Presentation (linked here) and then consider completing the survey (linked here) to provide your feedback. The survey closes March 8, 2024.
Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day is this Wednesday, February 28, 2024. On this day, we're encouraging all students to wear something pink to show support for a world without bullying. Think of it like a big pink hug for kindness and acceptance in a school where We All Belong! Our aim is to have students be excited to wear pink and participate in creating a positive and welcoming space at Marion Carson school. Join the pink party and let's make February 28 a day to remember!

Parent Association Movie night – March 1, 2024
- The movie voted on and chosen by our Grade 4 students to be shown at the March 1 movie night is 2021's "Clifford the Big Red Dog"
- Movie will start at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm)
- $2 admission (exact change and cash only please).
- There will be a cash concession.
- Adult supervision required at all times
- Please bring your own chair
