- Cheque Writing Campaign / School Donations
- A Message from School Council / Parent Association
Thank you to all families that were able to join us yesterday in celebrating music and the season at our Winter Musical Celebration. We are so proud of all of our students in all that they do. This what a great moment to celebrate their accomplishments as they came together as a group in a magnificent way. Thank you as well to Mrs. Seto and her supporting cast of staff, parents, and students for all their behind the scenes work such as set design, lighting, event setup, and more. This event would not have been possible without your support.
Our next whole-school celebration is our Lunar New Year Residency with Quest Theatre occurring between January 22 and Feb 2, 2024. Exact details are still being finalized and will be shared after the break, but we do know that half the school will be celebrating the Lunar New Year on Friday, January 26 at 4pm after a week-long residency with Quest Theatre, and the other half of the school will come together to celebrate on Friday, February 2 at 4pm after their week-long residency. We wanted to give you as much notice as possible about this celebration due to the earlier start times. I know this will be an exciting time for our school community.
Delightful December Spirit Week and Food Drive
This upcoming week is filled with some additional school spirit and opportunities to support our local community. The spirit day committee has organized some fun spirit opportunities from Dec. 18 to 22.
- Monday, Dec. 18 - Bedhead Bonanza Day: It's time to turn heads with your fantastic hairstyles! Whether it's a tree-shaped topknot, gravity-defying 'do or a work of art, let your imagination run wild. We're not just decking the halls; we're decking our hairdos too!
- Tuesday, Dec. 19 - Sock-a-Doodle Dandy: You are invited to flaunt your most fun socks at school. From polka dots to stripes, and even some with friendly faces, join the sock sensation that'll leave everyone grinning from ankle to toe!
- Wednesday, Dec. 20 - Western Wear Day: Saddle up, because our school is turning into a rootin' tootin' ranch for the day! Dust off your boots, wear your best jeans, and sport your best cowboy hats for this wild day of fun!
- Thursday, Dec. 21 - Seasonal Spirit Day: Gear up for an explosion of holiday spirit. From spooky witches to jolly elves, this is the day you can "transform” into walking celebrations of any holiday you adore.
- Friday, Dec. 22 - Plush Pals Pyjama Day: Prepare for the coziest day of the school year! Slip into your softest PJs, grab your favorite stuffed animal and join us for a day filled with comfort and cheer.
We continue to be accepting food donations on behalf of the Calgary Food Bank up until December 20th. Thank you to those that have already donated items.
