Lunar New Year Residency Performance
I am sending this message out earlier than normal as we prepare for the excitement of having our families join us for the Lunar New Year Celebration tomorrow, February 7, 2025. We have had great feedback from students as they engaged this week with their various Trickster artists. We would like to thank all parent volunteers who were able to support this week’s residency in various roles, as well as those volunteering throughout the day and evening tomorrow.
Please ensure that your child arrives at the school on time for their performance assigned to their classroom. When students arrive they should go straight to their classrooms. Kindergarten parents, please walk your child to their classroom.
There will be a variety of seating to support the best views possible for all spectators. Please note that there will be a mix of chairs, benches and floor mat seating. We encourage you to arrive early should you require or prefer a specific type of seating.

Please ensure that if you are driving to this event, you park in designated parking spaces and avoid the staff parking lot or impacting any of our surrounding community homes. Parents who have siblings performing at different times will be asked to leave the gym in between performances with all of their belongings as they pick up their children following the first performance, but are welcome to stay inside the building outside of the gym, awaiting the second performance.
*Please note that families will be asked to exit from the East Doors out to the courtyard / playground after the 4pm performance.
Valentine’s Day Activities – Feb. 12, 2025
On Wednesday, February 12 students are invited to wear red, pink, or white clothing. Teachers will be sharing information specific to their classroom regarding Valentine’s Day learning and activities, and details about any items coming to school. Please connect with your child’s teacher should you have classroom-specific questions for this day. Although it is a kind gesture, we ask that food not be sent to school for classmates to eat, unless each item is individually factory packaged/sealed. These items will not be eaten at school, but instead will be sent home with your child to support parent discretion.
