What an inspiring experience for our students today as we travelled to the Olympic Oval as a whole school community to watch the World Cup Speedskating competition. I know the athletes were thrilled to have our support through cheering of staff and students and the motivational signs. What a great show of support! Next step for some of the athletes that we saw…the Olympic Games!

A reminder that Friday, November 28 is a non-instructional day (no school for students) due to Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences.
Some items of note…
1. School Photos Retakes / Class Photos
November 26 is scheduled to be our individual student photo retake day. Whole classroom photos will also be retaken on this day (as requested by Lifetouch). Tuesday/Thursday Mandarin Bilingual Kindergarten will have their Class Photo on November 27, 2025.
2. Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences.
The Nov. 7 Principal’s Message shared details about the upcoming school conferences. The School Conferences Booking System opens tomorrow (Saturday, November 22) at 10am through your MyCBE account. The booking system will close on Thursday, November 27 at 1pm.
Mandarin Bilingual Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten class has an early dismissal day on Thursday, November 27 for school conferences. Students are dismissed at 1:20pm. All other K-6 students follow the normal Thursday schedule. *Tuesday/Thursday Mandarin Bilingual parents are responsible for pick-up at 1:20pm on this day, as no midday transportation is available.
3. A Message from School Council and Parent Association
Book Fair
November 27th 4:30pm-8:00pm and Nov 28th 9:00am-1:00pm! Sign-up here to volunteer at the book fair. This is a volunteer opportunity where you are welcome to bring your child if you are volunteering, as long as they are school-aged and able to be independent while you are volunteering. If they are older they can work with you supporting the volunteer work while at your side and learn about the benefits of giving the gift of time.
Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser
Last day to order Purdy’s and support our MCPA fundraiser is Nov 30th. Order here: https://fundraising.purdys.com/1397520-129888. Purdy’s orders will be available for pickup on Dec 12th between 1pm and 2:30pm, as well as on the evening of Dec 18th at the movie night.
