Traffic Safety

Our patrollers have started their yearlong leadership initiative this week by being at the crosswalk between our school and FE Osborne school! Our new signs provided by CBE transportation have also arrived, and you likely will have noticed them along Varsity Drive. We would like to thank our Marion Carson families as have noticed a great improvement in traffic safety this week with the help of both of these supports put in place. The signs are helpful reminders to families not to jaywalk (and instead use the crosswalk), to drop off students using the Hug and Go (avoiding the school bus zone, and staff parking lot), and to slow down in the school zone and watch for upcoming crosswalks. We ask that all families choose safety over convenience by continue to follow these traffic safety reminders. We also remind families to avoid dropping students off in the middle of the road, as this is a safety concern, and blocks the flow of traffic along Varsity Drive. Thank you for your support in keeping our students and families safe.

 

Photo Retake Day – October 18, 2023

A reminder that our photo retake day for all students requesting retakes is this Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

 

A Reminder from School Council / Parent Association

 

Our next School Council / Parent Association meeting of the year is on October 18, 2023 at 7pm. It will be occurring in a hybrid format both in our Library Learning Commons (doors open at 6:45pm) and online (link below).
