Hallowe’en Dance – October 27
We look forward to seeing everyone dressed in their costumes tonight and/or Hallowe’en colours (October 27). Doors will open at 6pm and the event will end at 8pm. Reminder that students should be supervised by their parent/guardian at all times during the event, and that concessions are cash only.
Hallowe’en Activities - October 31
Teachers will be communicating the various activities occurring within their classrooms on this day (I know many have already). As a whole school, students will be engaging in the following activities:
a. Pumpkinella: on October 31st families are invited to take to school a decorated or carved pumpkin to put on display in the Library Learning Commons.
o Participating students should carry their pumpkin to and from school in a tear-proof bag.
o If you would like to light up your pumpkin, please use a battery-operated tea light (no candles)
o Please label your pumpkin with a permanent marker
o All pumpkins not picked up by 4:15pm on October 31st will be composted
b. Costumes: Students have the option to wear school appropriate costumes. Costumes that have fully covering masks, toy weapons, or that may scare students in our school community will be asked to be removed
o Please note that costumes are optional. If your child(ren) will not be wearing a costume, they are welcome wear orange and/or black clothing, or dress as per a typical school day.
o Students are invited to wear their costumes for the day.

o Winter Jackets
o Snow Pants
o Mittens / Gloves
